Queen Eleanor Museum
Housed in an ancient Franciscan convent, it is one of the oldest museums in Portugal. Located right next to the Castle.
About This Place
Situated in the ancient Convent of Our Lady of Conception, of the Order of Saint Clare, this museum is a rare pearl. In addition to the important collections of archaeology, painting, and tilework, the convent's own architecture justifies the visit, highlighting the Chapter Room and the exuberant Gothic-Manueline decoration.
Team Tip
The convent's cloister, with its tiles and windows, is absolutely stunning. Take advantage of the joint ticket with the Castle.
